Alex Maddox is Head of Principal Funding & Securitisation at Barclays, where he is responsible for the securitisation and significant risk transfer (SRT)  transactions relating to group assets.

He has many years of experience in the securitisation, credit derivative and mortgage markets including cash securitisation, synthetic securitisation and portfolio trades. For 10 years prior to joining Barclays he was Head of Capital Markets at Kensington Mortgages which was the most active issuer of UK RMBS during that period.  Previous roles include Head of European Mortgage Trading for Deutsche Bank, Head of European Securitised Products for Citadel Group and Head of Securitised Products Trading for Lehman Brothers.

Alex joined Lehman Brother in 1992 as a fixed income derivatives trader after leaving Oxford University with a Masters degree in Engineering.
