Armando La Morgia is Group Chief Business Officer of Gardant, a company leader in the credit management sector in Italy, established as a result of the reorganisation and demerger from Credito Fondiario of its debt servicing and debt purchasing activities in August 2021. He joined the Group in 2016 and was previously Head of Capital Markets & Securitisation at Credito Fondiario.

Armando has over 25 years of experience in structured finance, advisory and investment management at international financial institutions. In particular, he started his career in 1998 at ING Bank as Bond Analyst, Fixed Income Research, and then worked from 2000 to 2005 at Morgan Stanley as Vice President in the Securitised Products Group. In 2005 he joined Merrill Lynch as Director, Head of Principal Investments, Global Structured Finance & Investments and finally from 2011 to 2016 he was at BlackRock, with his last position of Director, Portfolio Manager, Head of Structured Finance, European Fundamental Credit.

Armando graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a degree in Economics and also holds a Master in Economics & Programme of Specialisation in Financial Economics also from Bocconi University and an M.A. in Mathematics with Specialisation in the Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University in New York.
