Matt Mitchell
Matt Mitchell is a Managing Director at S&P Global Ratings, based in Paris. He oversees the development of rating approaches for novel transactions and innovations in financing structures. He currently focuses on the increasing adoption of structured finance technology in private credit, including asset-based finance, rated note feeders, and collateralized fund obligations.
Since joining S&P Global Ratings in 2011, Matt has worked across a variety of securitization sectors, including consumer and commercial ABS, esoteric assets, and
residential mortgages.
Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings, Matt worked as a credit analyst in Toronto, where he covered collateralized loan obligations, asset-backed commercial paper, and
covered bonds.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a CFA charterholder.
